  1. Conditions:

    1. You place our banners anywhere on your site as you see fit, or within non-spam emails.
    2. Adult, Hate, or other related sites are not allowed
    3. Any page containing our links, banners, or codes must be written in English
    4. Affiliates need to get prior approval from Viator, if they wish to send out any emails about the program.
    5. You may place banners or links within your newsletters, in content of your website, or within other web related content.
    6. NOT ALLOWED: All other uses of banners or links, such as newsgroups, chat rooms, ICQ, message boards, banner networks, hit farms, counters, or guestbooks etc. are NOT allowed.
    7. NOT ALLOWED: Any placement of creative in a "Desktop" advertising scheme. This includes any and all 3rd party advertising platforms that use a desktop application to display ads in any form.
    8. NOT ALLOWED: Any display of a merchant window that isn't the result of a direct click by the end-user.
    9. Failure to abide by these rules could mean the suspension of your collaboration with a complete forfeit of commissions
    10. Fraud is a serious offense, and will be treated as such. Fraud is defined as any action that intentionally attempts to create sales, leads, or click-throughs using robots, frames, iframes, scripts, or manually "refreshing" of pages, for the sole purpose of creating commissions. ANY ATTEMPTED FRAUD OR FRAUD WILL RESULT IN MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION AND VOIDED COMMISSIONS.
    11. LINKING

    12. If you are creating product links, please be sure to take these from the product feed. Links taken from other sources may result in commissions being declined as they are identified as coming from a different channel. You CANNOT take content directly from Viator, which is not present on the product feed.
    13. As an Affiliate of the Service, you may place and remove Viator Links on Your site and in acceptable locations.

    22. Affiliates ARE NOT PERMITTED to carry out any PPC search activity sending traffic to www.viator.com directly. If an affiliate is found running PPC activity, this may result in them being removed from the program. Any affiliate found running PPC Activity will see their participation terminated immediately and any related commissions voided.
    23. Affiliates also must not send traffic through automatic redirects on a website page.
    24. Affiliates generating traffic to their own sites must also abide by the following rules.
    25. Using the Viator brand term in the sub folder of the display URL (eg www.affiliate.com/viator) – NOT ALLOWED
    26. Using the Viator brand term in the sub domain of the display URL (eg www.viator.affiliate.com) – NOT ALLOWED
    27. Using the Viator brand or a misspelling of the Viator brand in the display URL (eg www.viator.com.) or (www.viatorrcom) – NOT ALLOWED
    28. Using the Viator brand in the ad title – NOT ALLOWED
    29. Using the Viator brand in the ad text – NOT ALLOWED
    30. Bid on the brand term “Viator” – NOT ALLOWED
    31. Bid on misspellings or extensions of the brand (eg “Viator, Vaitor, Viatoor, Viator uk, Viatorcom,uk, Viatorcom) – NOT ALLOWED
    32. Bid on Viator brand + generic terms (eg “viator tours”, "viator activities") - NOT ALLOWED
    33. Advertise as the brand i.e. FB - NOT ALLOWED
    34. Bid on the advertisers URL www.viator.com, es.viator.com, viatorcom.de, viatorcom.fr, br.viator.com, viatorcom.nl, viatorcom.se, viatorcom.no, viatorcom.dk, viatorcom.ja or any derivations of the URL – NOT ALLOWED
    35. Show adverts on competitors’ brands – NOT ALLOWED
    36. Please note affiliates are NOT ALLOWED to bid on any variations of the brand name Viator. Bidding on any suppliers on Viator is also NOT ALLOWED (e.g. Dark Rome)
    37. Viator and common misspelling should be added as broad match negative terms to all affiliate paid search campaigns.

    39. Publishers are not allowed to do any form of advertising as the Viator brand.
    40. Search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc) - NOT ALLOWED

    43. Instragram advertising - NOT ALLOWED

    45. Discount code / voucher code websites

    46. Viator does NOT ALLOW discount codes to be promoted on their affiliation program. Any affiliate found featuring Viator discount codes on their websites or other related channels i.e. Social media, Emails will see their participation in the Viator program terminated immediately and any related commissions voided.
    47. Publishers must not display made up / invented discount codes on their site(s) or display discount codes that were intended for use in other channels or for other online publishers. If you are found doing this, your participation in the Viator program will be terminated immediately and commissions voided.
    48. Under no circumstances are publishers allowed to surreptitiously use i-frames to set cookies onto a user’s computer.
    49. Discount code and deals publishers are accepted in the program as long as do not promote discount codes.
  2. Profit:

    1. The Agent’s reward for user acquisition is paid by the Principal for actual bookings and purchases of travel services on Advertiser’s websites that are done by referrals from the Agent’s to the Advertiser’s website.
    2. The Agent’s reward is based on all referrals to the Advertiser's website, who used the URLs that contain the Agent ID. Provided that all the bookings of the travel services made from a user’s PC within a 30-day period starting from his first visit to the Advertiser's website are taken into account. Cookies, which are installed in user’s browsers, are used to keep record of the customers.
    3. The Agent’s reward is calculated as a fraction of the revenue earned by the Advertiser for the sale of travel and other services: 4% commision on sales.
    4. Agent’s personal account on the Principal’s website is used by the Principal to provide the Agent with the real time information about revenue earned by the Advertiser from the referrals that come from the Agent's websites.
    5. The Agent commission earned for the previous month is paid from 10th to 20th day monthly, by transferring funds to the Agent's account according to the payment details specified in the personal account.

Teaser advertising campaigns consist of two parts: series of teaser ads (one or more than one) and a revealer ad. Typically, the ads are placed on sites with mainstream traffic (news aggregators and so on).
  • Click-Under Aggressive advertising. The window with the advertiser's site is opened under the current user's window. Regardless of the will of the user, after any click on the original site.
